Calphalon; |
Cuisinart DLC-5 7-Cup Capacity Food Processor, WhiteWith its 7-cup work bowl, 600 watts of power, and slicing and shredding discs, this food processor is ideal for most households. It kneads 1-1/2 pounds of bread or pastry dough, chops 1 pound of meat, emulsifies a perfect mayonnaise or salad dressing, and chops, slices, or shreds vegetables, nuts, cheese, and bread crumbs. The plastic work bowl is shatterproof and resists both heat and cold. A single fingertip control turns the processor on and off and pulses for precise work. All parts go safely into the dishwasher. With work bowl in place, the processor measures 7 by 12-1/2 by 9-1/2 inches. It carries a five-year warranty against motor defects and a three-year warranty against other defects. --Fred Brack

Customer Review:A perfect size and a great machine for a family of four I am using it for around 2 months and I am happy with its performance. I uses it for Indian food like dough, chilli/onion,garlic paste, crushing the spinach,curliflower, coconut, carrots , salad etc
Pros:
It plastic is sturdy.
It is easy to clean.
Its sound level is normal.
Cons
The slicer comes with it is little thin. They sells 1/4 inch slicer seperately (in $20)
It is heavy, It sticks with counter so well you need to apply lot of power to move it.
It is not worth to take one star out for these.
Make sure you will add water gradually until dough stops sticking the walls and then let it run for 30 seconds. It will stick all to the walls if more water is added at this stage. Also don't try to add more flour to compansate more water, it will make a big mess.
This "classic" isn't worth itNo doubt, you might be intrigued by the relative savings offered on this model compared to other processors - including the more modern-looking Cuisinarts. Well, there is, as they say, a reason for everything.
I have used both a small older Mini-Prep as well as the DLC-2007 (the futuristic one). Both were awesome - they blended thoroughly and RARELY leaked (only when it was my fault and I filled the suckers full of liquid.
Anyhow, they passed the "how much do I get for my money" test with flying colors. This machine does not.
Each time I have used this thing - be it for cooked vegetables, salsa or pesto, the freaker leaked from the well. Unlike the other two Cuisinarts I mentioned - which were the older sister and the same-age sister, respectively, to this model - this one has a blade that fits LOOSELY on its inner assembly. Thus, whatever you are blending works its way up right out of the cylinder and into the well, from which it drips everywhere. The counter, the machine, the bowl.
I mean it - do not buy this model. It really sucks. You may save money, but you won't save time or headaches. Good product, easy to clean, Product is easy to clean. This is the first food processor I have owned so I do not have much to compare it to. My only complaint is that when I made a soup that needed to be pureed, the soup went everywhere. The food processor leaked from the bottom before even turning on the machine. I have made a variety of other dishes in this with no problem such as hummus, salsa, etc. Keywords: Electrics; Full-Size Food Processors; (Foodprocessors); Small Appliances;

Calphalon Contemporary Nonstick 2-1/2-Quart Shallow Saucepan with LidPerfect for reducing sauces or cooking vegetables on the stovetop and for braising meat in the oven, this shallow, 2-1/2-quart saucepan is coated with nonstick inside to release food readily and clean easily. The nonstick is durable enough to go safely into the oven at temperatures up to 450 degrees F. Made of heavy-gauge aluminum with a matte finish, the pan conducts heat uniformly and quickly. Because the aluminum is anodized it's harder than steel and the pan won't scratch, chip, or crack. The oval, brushed stainless-steel handle stays cool on the stovetop and has a hanging hole for the pan to be stored on hook or peg. The domed glass lid collects and returns moisture to food and permits monitoring of cooking without reducing the temperature inside the pan. Calphalon Contemporary Nonstick cookware carries a lifetime warranty against defects.

Customer Review:A great buy!!My only concern about purchasing this saucepan was that it was shallow. Then I received mine. I love it. It is perfect for everyday use. I now do not have spill overs when making things like rice or when boiling potatoes. I highly recommend this item. I now have bought 2!! a good buyi bought this pot a month ago and have been cooking all my meals in it. it is easy to clean and required very little oil. food cooks really wel and the shape of the vessel is perfect as it avoids any overflows.
i would recommend this pot to anyone who is interested in calphalon products. when i received the lid there was a slight dent in it but i called calphalon customer service and they very promptly send me a replacement lid at no extra charge. A quality saucepan, solid, attractive, works well.I bought this shallow saucepan and it works rather well. It has a quality feel, very solid and sturdy, and is attractive too! The nonstick is good quality and food cooks more quickly because the pan has more surface area. I use this pan for soups mainly. A little heavy, but isn't every quality pan heavy? Looks attractive and I got a great price, less than it is now. All in all, a great deal! Much better deal than I could have gotten in the store, that's for sure!! Keywords: (Calphlon); (Calaphon);

Customer Review:I love my RoombaI have been having back problems and find it hard to vacuum, so when I heard about the Roomba I thought it was worth a try and am I glad I did. It is amazing on both carpet and hard floors like wood and tile, and it even goes under the bed and my sofa. The only tiny problem I have is, it sometimes has a hard time finding its way back to the charger when it runs down at the other end of the house, so I have to take it there. and how hard is that?
I understand they are coming out soon with one that washes floors, I cant wait!! could be really good, but isn'tThe edges of your room and furniture will be vacuumed as thoroughly as possible (but still not that great) the rest of your home is very hit or miss, and it isn't that powerful, and it is rare that it finds it's way back to the charging station. But it's ok if you need to vacuum a lot and don't always have the time. Excellent product, great customer supportI purchased it 6 months ago when i got my new house, i moved from a small appartment so it was too much space to vacuum. Now i think this was one of the best investments, i save lot of time and the house is always clean. I run my age old hoover once every three weeks or a month and roomba does the rest. You can see how much dust/debris it accumulates in the bin.
After using it for couple of months almost every day it suddenly stopped, no action what so ever. No lights nothing... just dead. Tried every thing, pulling the battery and putting it back, cooling it down and made sure the battery is fully charged and all sorts of things with no life in it. Then i went to irobot.com and checked there frequently asked questions with not much help and then i called the customer service, some nice lady answered me with in a minute and ran me thru a procedure of steps (unplug the power, remove the battery, press the power switch on roomba for 30 seconds, put the battery back and start it - voila it worked). She said the system sometime goes into a sleep mode becuase of too much usage (obviously i used it every day for two months). Now its been four months and i still use it atleast twice a week without any problems.
A must have for every household.
Pros:
Auto recharge feature is great, my roomba is always charged.
Cleans a good sized room in about 90 mins and covers every cornor.
Automatically and efficiently changes from carpet mode to floor mode.
SAVES TIME.
Great customer service.
Cons:
Little bit pricy.
Filters need to be changed every month or two but not expensive. I never changed it in six months, wash the same one again and again.
Bit noisy if you are in the same room.

Calphalon Commercial Hard-Anodized 12-Inch Everyday Pan with LidThis 12-inch everyday pan will end up being the hardest working pan in your kitchen. It is ideal for everything from simmering stovetop succotash and braising brisket to browning Dutch pancakes or cooking fruit tarts. Part of Calphalon's Commercial Hard-Anodized line of cookware, this pan is made of heavy-gauge aluminum that's uniformly thick across the bottom and sides, allowing for quick and even heat distribution. Its durable hard-anodized finish is stick- and scratch-resistant and wont react with acidic foods. The patented cast stainless-steel handles are comfortable to grip, plus they minimize heat transfer so handles stay cool on the stovetop. Handles are held in place by three sturdy stainless-steel rivets. The included hard-anodized lid is dome-shaped, making it ideal for moist-heat cooking. The cookware and lid are oven-safe up to 450 degrees F so you can transfer a frittata to the oven for browning without having to switch pans. All cookware in this line is covered by a lifetime warranty. --Cristina Vaamonde

Customer Review:Excellent When Used RightI like this cookware better than the one that replaced it (the Calphalon One Infused). After reading some of the comments about sticking food, I was prepared for everything except what happened. I prepared a tri-tip roast by sautee on the stove top, added a little wine to deglaze, and then popped the pan into the oven for several hours at low temperature. The roast came out great, and the pan cleaned up very easily. The meat did not stick to the pan - once it was cooked on the outside, it lifted easily. And the sauce came out great as well! Cleanup was a snap with just soap and a nylon brush. I do plan to get some comet in case I need a deeper cleaning.
As others have said, be sure and use lower cooking temperatures that you are used to with nonstick cookware. Calphalon Commercial Hard-Anodized 12-inch Pan with LidThis pan is solidly built with thick gauge of aluminum and good workmanship. Very GoodWe just got this one and the pan is well made and the first couple of times we cooked (Indian food) it performed as expected. We agree with most of the reviews, this one is substantial and looks like its going to last for a long time.
